The Baggy Method

This is an age old method for retaining moisture in naturals.  Its called the baggy method.  Very simple and easy to use.

I normally baggy every night when i wear my hair curly, but first things first. youll need.

  1. your favorite moisturizer
  2. a plastic cap and or plastic sack
  3. and some sort of sealing oils after removal of the bag.

Some naturals baggy overnight, as do i. but you can baggy anytime of the day.  I normally only baggy my ends since its the dryiest part of my hair. but you can baggy your whole head.Warning: baggying entire hair may cause hair to be wet upon removal since this “greenhouse” method is coming strictly from body heat.

Step one:

  1. wet hair lightly with spray bottle full of water
  2. apply moisturizer
  3. apply baggy
  4. sleep

When you remove in the morning, youll have a fully moisturized head of hair.

MAKE SURE YOU SEAL IN MOISTURE WITH YOUR OILS AFTER REMOVAL OF BAG.

Happy hair journey :)

Pre-Poo for More moisturized hair

The method of pre-pooing has been around for ages.  The method follows as dry conditioning your hair with some sort of oil, whether it be jojoba oil, olive oil, or evoo ( extra virgin olive oil).

  1. Section hair
  2. apply conditioner and oil
  3. twist into plats or braids
  4. apply a plastic cap
  5. let sit for 20-30 mins
  6. shampoo or co-wash hair and follow regimen.

Following this method can increase moisture in hair that shampooing takes away.  you may follow the method of pre-pooing every time you wash your hair or as you feel is needed.
